Trying a new beer tonight, Unibroue "16". It is from the La Brasserie Unibroue
that I have mentioned previously. It is a special brew for Unibroue's 16th anniversity,
a "vintage ale", only 7000 cases where made (12 each) so 84,000, fuck only
83,999 left! Its pretty damn good it comes in a 750ml bottle with a cool sliver
"16". 10.5 %, pretty strong, smells little like fruit, tastes of spices and just a little bit
of heaven.

Several months ago I began to tire of the beers I have drinking for the last couple years.
I had been drinking alot of Sam Adams, and Stella. Both are good, but I had a hankerin' for
something different. So I picked up a Belgian beer called Duvel, it comes in 4 packs, and was
more expensive than the usual fare. It is great, first it taste good, it is not too hoppy, or bitter.
And it has a kick 8.5%. So even though it was only 4 beers, they were slightly bigger and packed
about the same punch as a six pack of the other stuff. Historical note, in the 20's there was a
prohibition on gin which was the most popular drink back in Belgium. Well the enterprising
Flemmish decided to make there beer stronger, so that is why Belgian style beer typically has a
higher alcohol content. The word "Duvel" is flemish for "Devil". I started trying others, Chimay
, PInk Elephant, etc. All were good, but I found a favorite and I drink it almost exclusively now.
This wonderful libation is called La Fin Du Monde (End of the World) and is made by Unibroue in Quebec.
I think it is one of the best beers I have ever had, and at 9%ABV does not leave one sober.
If you are into beer, you should do yourself a favor and try some, you will not regret it.
Doesnt this look good?
